Summary:

The pharmacy delivery driver is responsible for picking up prescriptions each day at Grace Pharmacies and delivering them to patients or other sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picks up prescriptions at Grace pharmacies
• Delivers prescriptions promptly, efficiently and accurately to intended recipients
• Communicates and resolves prescription delivery issues with pharmacy staff and patients.
• Maintains security and integrity of medication and devices throughout delivery process
• Understands and communicates basic pharmacy language with insurance and prescription issues
• Has patients sign acknowledgement of delivery
• Ensures vehicle is maintained in a safe and proper working condition
• Performs data collection as required
• Maintains security of monies collected from patients and delivers to the pharmacy

• Team members will participate in the review and evaluation processes of practice performance and help to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Team members will participate in Grace Health's advocacy program.

SKILLS:

Must relate to patients and staff in an understanding and courteous manner. Ability to work unsupervised, handle money, and maintain required paperwork. May sit in vehicles for long periods of time. Required to climb stairs and must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from high school or GED

Possess valid Kentucky drivers’ license and driving record free of violations and accidents.
